Steven Dyer Update

Hi everyone...

I finally got an update on Steven Dyer after a few days of no word, but it sounds like not much has changed. As of yesterday, he was still at Piedmont Hospital, but folks from the Shepherd Clinic and others are coming to evaluate whether or not they could offer him care. Since having a traciotomy, he's doing a lot more breathing on his own, and he's become a little more responsive, but he's still in a coma.

The cool news, though, is that his parents were at West Ridge this past Sunday... That's a BIG DEAL. Praise God for that!

I'll let you know as I hear other updates!

I would love for us to do something as a team to encourage his family, and to love on him a bit. If you have any ideas, speak up!

I and two of the guys from my small group visited Steven this past Sunday. We got the opportunity to meet his family. There were a few times where it seemed that Steve was trying to respond. We were also told (and we saw) that his blood pressure increases when people are in the room, as though he is aware that someone is present. So, there is hope. And I know it has meant so much to his family that so many people have come to visit, as it seems to be making a difference in their lives
